Music Information Retrieval Evaluation eXchange (MIREX ) is considered as the most important contest in the field of music information retrieval. The MIREX 2006 was hosted by IMIRSEL (International Music Information Retrieval Systems Evaluation Laboratory), in the Graduate School of Library and Information Science (GSLIS), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) .MIREX consists of nine evaluation tasks, in addition to Query-by-Singing/Humming.
Total of eight teams participated the Query-by-Singing/Humming task, including teams from some well-known universities. The test database contains of 2048 songs and 2797 sung queries.
ThinkIT’s team has proudly won the champion title in this evaluation task. Among all competition systems,the two systems submitted by ThinkIT have achieved the top two accuracy results. |
