ThinkIT company¡¯s formal name is Beijing Kexin Technology Co.,Ltd., a high-tech firm involved in human/computer interface technology with speech recognition as the core technology. Since its founding in 2002, the Company has been focusing its efforts on the research and development of speech technology and its applications, with purpose of providing practical speech solutions in real life. The Company is trying to be the core technology provider in the related industry for speech information processing and searching.
Today, the Company has developed a series of world first class speech related products, such as Speech Recognition Engine, multi-language/audio signal processing module, which are widely used in the applications at all levels in the fields of telecommunication, education and embedded devices. The Company is the only one in China that has its own complete IP and achieved applications in large commercial scale.
The ThinkIT Speech Laboratory under Institute of Acoustics http://hccl.ioa.ac.cn , CAS, is one of the largest research organization of its kind in China.
The lab has 10 Professors/Associate Professors, and about 30 graduate students for master or doctor degrees study in the lab now, plus the lab enrolls over 10 new graduate students every year.
The lab has been financed frequently since its founding by winning projects from National Natural Science Foundation of China, National 863, national 973, CAS Knowledge Innovation Program and CAS 100£professor plan.
The Lab has won many times the top title of evaluations for speech recognition, organized by the government.
The Lab has also achieved reputation in international speech technology evaluations, for instance, won the 3rd place in NIST 2003, and 1st place in 2006 at an international competition for music search (USA).
The Lab has published more than one hundred high quality papers on international conferences and journals, and totaling over 30 inventions have been either already granted patents or submitted in the process for patents.
The Lab has established world class research and test platforms for audio/speech signal processing, mainly including: LVCSR(large vocabulary continues speech recognition) system, special domain natural dialog system, spoken language Learning system, language recognition system, speaker recognition/confirming system, key word spotting system, humming based music retrieval system, audio ID identification system, voice conversion system, noise depressing system, Watermark encoder£decoder system and etc.
By working together, the Lab and Company can commercialize the technologies invented, for example, ThinkIT¡¯s speech recognition engine in telecom level is already commercially used in 20 China¡¯s provinces.

By owning totally its own IP of core technology for speech recognition, ThinkIT is capable of designing and providing with a whole line of SR related solutions. ThinkIT is not only a provider for the SR core technology and feature module, but also a solution designer, theory definer and spreader. ThinkIT would like to set up a multi domain union, working with true friends. ThinkIT also treats customers¡¯ needs as the basic principle for designing and developing a specific application. |
